With over 35 years of experience in the culinary world, Chef Curtis has earned a reputation for excellence and innovation with respect for tradition. Growing up internationally he became exposed to different cultures, customs and cuisine. His culinary career blossomed in New York and Colorado in the 1980's (whew!) and has spanned worldwide since. upon graduating The Culinary Institute of  America in Hyde park NY he spent some time in Nantucket and focused on his love for the bounty of the sea in this culinary rich environment. Feeling more capable and restless, he moved to Manhatten during the peak of the "New American" food movement. Working with iconic chefs like Charlie Palmer, David Burke, Bobby Flay, Tom Colicchio and Many more was like a dream. Restaurants Like The River Cafe, Gotham Bar&Grill, Sign of the Dove, and the Water Club began to adorn his resume.  Eventually Curtis returned to Colorado via Stops in Reno/Tahoe, Nantucket (again), and Baltimore. He set up shop at the Legendary Brown Palace Hotel &Spa for a few years. After decades of restaurants, hotels, resorts, catering he and his wife Kristopher opened Willow Creek Restaurant and Provisions in 2009. His passion for creating exceptional flavors shines through in every dish he prepares. He has also conducted culinary education programs in the US, Mexico, Belize and Italy.

  Curtis is very passionate about sustainability and responsible food practices and is very active in these arenas.
